August, 2022 – Delta Singapore successfully secured a contract from M1 for the design and supply of a Remote Monitoring System for up to 50 Remote Data Centers.
We have submitted a comprehensive solution that can be fully integrated to provide M1 with a seamless platform for access control, surveillance system, rectifier & lithium battery monitoring, aircon, fire panel, alarm monitoring as well as rack level AC PDU, DC PDU and temp/humidity monitoring.
When completed in phases, the remote monitoring system will be set up at two Network Operations Centers, up to 50 RDC as well as additional two colocation Data Centers.
Since 2005, Eltek Singapore supplied outdoor rectifier systems to M1 for 3G Mobile network. Over the years, we have developed a strong working partnership, truly understanding M1’s needs and gaining their trust to work on new, energy saving and efficient solutions from Delta together.
Since then, we have installed Solar Hybrid solutions on offshore islands Raffles Lighthouse and St John’s Island, helping M1 to promote green initiatives and save on diesel costs. Delta’s latest modular and high efficient DPH Series UPS was also introduced into M1 in 2020.
This project for Remote Monitoring System further demonstrated our “Smarter Greener Together” capability to be able to integrate solutions from ICTBG and BABG to provide customers with a seamless and efficient solution from Delta.
M1 is the 2nd largest mobile network operator in Singapore with more than 2 million subscribers.
By the end of 2022, M1 has announced they will achieve 95% island wide 5G coverage in Singapore.
M1’s 5G network design is based on a resilient network of Remote Data Centers (RDC) Island wide to reduce latency and provide a secured network for 5G data traffic operated by two fully redundant Network Operations Center (NOC).
