There’s something special about stepping away from our desks, rolling up our sleeves, and getting our hands a little dirty, especially when it’s for a great cause.
From February 28 to March 2, a group of Delta Electronics (Thailand) employees and Delta Labor Union members swapped their office gear for paintbrushes, screwdrivers, and sneakers to take part in a heartfelt CSR journey to Ban Khao Thong Phang Ngab School in Sukhothai’s Khiri Mat District. The mission? Help bridge the digital learning gap for students in a rural community and give their school a much-needed refresh while we’re at it.
Tech Meets Heart
Delta donated desktop computers to the school, instantly boosting access to digital tools that many of us take for granted. For these students, it was a big leap forward—offering them the chance to explore, learn, and connect in ways that weren’t possible before.
But it wasn’t just about tech. Our volunteers got busy cleaning, painting, and brightening up classrooms, transforming them into more vibrant and welcoming spaces. Think less grey walls, more color and creativity. Because at Delta, we believe that where kids learn matters just as much as what they learn.Powered by People
What made this trip extra special? The people.
Delta employees, union members, school staff, and local families all pitched in together. Whether it was hauling supplies, setting up computers, or sharing meals under the shade of a tree, there was a sense of community and shared purpose that brought everyone closer.
It wasn’t just about giving back; it was about connection. And it reminded us that the values we carry at work teamwork, care, responsibility don’t stop at the office door.
A Ripple Effect
This initiative is part of Delta’s ongoing commitment to education and sustainability under our “Smarter. Greener. Together.” strategy. It also supports global goals like quality education and reducing inequalities. But more than anything, it’s about creating real impact, one school and one student at a time.
For many of the volunteers, the weekend was more than just a CSR trip. It was a moment of reflection, fulfillment, and pride. And yes, there were a few sore muscles, but also plenty of laughs, stories, and selfies to go around.Looking Ahead
Ban Khao Thong Phang Ngab School is just the beginning. Delta is looking to bring similar projects to more rural communities across Thailand places where a little help goes a long way, and where students are bursting with potential, just waiting for the right tools and support.
To everyone who joined the journey, thank you. You didn’t just donate your time. You gave hope, smiles, and opportunities that will last far beyond the weekend.
