Delta India Opens Donated Toilet Block at Kurubarapalli Government Higher Secondary School

April 19, 2023-Following the brick-laying and Pooja ceremony earlier this year, Delta Electronics India opened the donated female toilets and urinals at the Krishnagiri-Kurubarapalli Senior Secondary School. The new facility serves over 500 students and is equipped with modern amenities designed to cater to the needs of female students.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the District Education Officer, government officials, and Delta Electronics India management, including Mr. Bobby Lai, Head of India Operations. The ceremony began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a tour of the new facility. The government officials and dignitaries were impressed with the new facilities and commended Delta Electronics India for its commitment to providing quality hygiene facilities to the girl students.

The new toilet block facility is a significant stride towards offering clean and hygienic sanitation amenities to female students in Tamil Nadu's rural areas. Delta Electronics India’s initiative aims to provide basic hygiene facilities to the students, and our work has been lauded by government officials and dignitaries, setting a positive example for corporate social responsibility.

The school, established in 1966, is located in a rural area of Tamil Nadu and is responsible for educating Upper Primary, Secondary, and High Secondary level students. It is a co-educational institution affiliated with the State Board for both secondary and high secondary levels.

It is important to note that the situation of schools and girls’ toilets in India, especially in the Tamil Nadu region, has been a matter of concern for a long time. Access to basic sanitation facilities is essential for students, particularly female students, to ensure their good health and well-being.
