Delta Electronics India has been steadily driving meaningful change through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, particularly in the realm of education and infrastructure development. In April 2023, the company launched a focused effort to improve facilities in rural government schools, aiming to create an inclusive, safe, and empowering environment for students. These efforts span multiple locations—most notably in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka—and reflect Delta’s belief that access to quality education and basic amenities is foundational to building a better future.
One of the major milestones in this initiative has been the comprehensive infrastructure upliftment at the Government Higher Secondary School in Kurubarapalli, Tamil Nadu. Established in 1966, this co-educational school caters to students from upper primary to higher secondary levels and is affiliated with the State Board. Recognizing the challenges faced by students—especially female students—in accessing clean and hygienic sanitation facilities, Delta Electronics India constructed a new toilet block dedicated to improving hygiene and ensuring the dignity of over 500 students. The facility, inaugurated on April 19, 2023, was unveiled in the presence of the District Education Officer, government officials, and Delta Electronics India’s leadership team, including Mr. Bobby Lai, Head of India Operations. The project was well-received by the local administration and community, earning praise for its impactful and timely intervention.T

he scope of work at the Kurubarapalli campus extended beyond sanitation. At the school’s KG section, Delta undertook a full-scale transformation. This included the construction and maintenance of toilets and urinals for both boys and girls, the maintenance of four RO drinking water units to provide safe and clean water, and a fresh coat of paint across the entire school building to create a more vibrant and child-friendly environment. The approach also prioritized safety and accessibility through the laying of paver blocks in front of the school and the construction of compound walls between classroom blocks. Grill gates were also installed where necessary to enhance movement control and security within the campus. The renovated KG section is set to be formally inaugurated in June 2025, once the school reopens after its annual summer vacation.Encouraged by the impact in Tamil Nadu, Delta Electronics India extended its efforts to Karnataka. At a government school in Bengaluru, the company is currently undertaking another major infrastructure development project. This includes the construction of two new classrooms and a fully equipped library, the laying of paver blocks for campus enhancement, and the construction of low-height (3-foot) connecting walls between structural pillars to regulate student movement efficiently. Additionally, a new staircase to the rooftop is being built to ensure safe access for future learning or administrative needs. These upgrades are designed not only to improve the physical learning environment but also to encourage continued attendance and engagement from students.Through these concerted efforts, Delta Electronics India is addressing long-standing challenges faced by students in underserved regions, such as lack of basic hygiene facilities, poor infrastructure, and unsafe learning conditions. By bridging these gaps, the company is fostering an environment where education is not hindered by physical limitations. Notably, the focus on female sanitation facilities reflects a deep understanding of the social issues that often lead to school dropouts among girls in rural areas.
