Bangkok, Thailand, March 15, 2021- Delta Thailand joined hands with our longtime partner the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIP) under the Ministry of Industry to launch the Angel Fund for Startups 2021.

This year we also welcomed a major Thai ICT and telecom solution company Samart Corporation to join as the second corporate sponsor offering funds to winning startups. Winning teams then get the chance to compete at the Shark Tank Thailand Season 3 for even more investments from the reality show’s local tycoons.

Delta and the DIP have funded startups through the Angel Fund for Startups for the past six years in support of the Thai government’s policies to develop local talent and incubate the innovative industry sector. Over the past five years, the Delta Angel Fund for Startups has helped create startup projects generating outstanding economic value of over 500 million Baht.

The Angel Fund program links Thai entrepreneurs with new business ideas with funds and offers intensive business skill-up and innovation incubation activities including a business boot camp with tutoring in a progressive 6-step model. This course trains entrepreneurs to prepare and present their business model to the private sector, sponsors and investors.
