On June 2026, Delta Malaysia hosted a Technology Sharing Day with the Perak Water Board (PWB) at AC Hotel by Marriott in Ipoh. Also known locally as Lembaga Air Perak (LAP), PWB is a statutory corporation responsible for providing water supply services in the Malaysian state of Perak.
Led by Delta’s Industrial Automation (IA) business group, with support from Energy Infrastructure and Industrial Solutions (EIS), the session explored how Delta’s technologies could support the modernisation of Perak’s water infrastructure.
The discussions focused on practical solutions for water treatment operations, power security and quality, energy efficiency, automation, sustainability and ESG development. By connecting Delta’s technology capabilities with PWB’s operational priorities, both sides exchanged ideas and identified areas for further exploration.
Key opportunities discussed included real-world VTScada applications from Canada that could potentially be adapted for Malaysia, pump optimisation for raw and treated water systems to improve energy efficiency, and the development of an ESG dashboard.
The session gave Delta a better understanding of PWB’s operational needs while opening opportunities for future collaboration and potential technology deployment. It also demonstrated how knowledge sharing can help translate Delta’s technical capabilities into practical solutions for more efficient, reliable and sustainable water management.
Meaningful solutions often begin with a clear understanding of the customer’s operational challenges. Bringing together knowledge from different business groups allows Delta to connect the right technologies with real needs, adapt successful applications from other markets to local conditions and create stronger foundations for long-term collaboration.
