Growing Greener Together Delta Singapore Joins the OneMillionTrees Movement

By Delta Singapore - Published June 10, 2025

On April 11, 2025, the Delta Electronics Singapore team got their hands in the soil literally by planting 50 native trees in Clementi West. This hands-on effort supports the OneMillionTrees Movement, a key part of Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 and a powerful example of how we’re contributing to healthier, more liveable cities.

The trees we planted including native species like Syzygium cerasiforme and Tarenna fragrans—were chosen for their ability to thrive in Singapore’s climate while improving biodiversity and helping reduce the urban heat island effect.

A Greener City Starts with Small Actions

Since the OneMillionTrees Movement launched in 2020, more than 700,000 trees have taken root across Singapore lining streets, brightening parks, and cooling urban spaces. These trees don’t just add greenery; they improve air quality, filter rainwater, and create pockets of nature for wildlife and people alike. As they grow, the 50 saplings planted by our team will play their part in that transformation contributing to carbon reduction and cooler, more comfortable urban environments.

Real Impact, Rooted in Community

“Our commitment to the environment shows up in real ways—whether we’re reducing emissions or restoring ecosystems,” said Mr. P.S. Tang, General Manager of Delta Electronics Singapore. “This project isn’t just symbolic. It’s about long-term benefits, for both people and planet.”

Tree planting is just one way Delta Singapore is making a difference. The team also supports NParks’ 100k Corals Initiative, where Delta’s funding and automation technology help cultivate up to 10,000 corals a year at the Marine Park Outreach Centre on St John’s Island. The work being done there is helping to revive marine habitats and promote coastal resilience.

From Local Roots to Global Goals

Whether it’s restoring forests or reefs, installing energy-efficient systems, or driving toward our RE100 and net-zero targets, Delta’s environmental efforts are interconnected. Every regional initiative feed into our larger mission: building a more sustainable and resilient world through action, innovation, and collaboration.

Delta Singapore, thank you for turning sustainability into action and impact. The roots you’ve planted go far beyond the ground
