Delta Electronics Thailand is proud to announce the expansion of its Power Electronics Laboratory network with the official launch of a new facility at Mahidol University. This marks Mahidol as the newest partner in Delta’s academic network and is the seventh Power Electronics Lab established by Delta in Thailand, furthering our long-term commitment to empowering the nation’s engineering talent.
The launch event was attended by Delta’s senior management including Mr Victor Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL, and Professor Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., President of Mahidol University, along with key university leaders and Delta representatives.
The occasion also included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that underscores a shared vision to strengthen research, education, and workforce readiness in power electronics.
Delta’s Power Electronics Lab initiative is a strategic academic collaboration designed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical industry skills. By providing students access to industry-grade tools and real-world project experience, the program nurtures critical thinking, technical proficiency, and hands-on problem-solving.
The Mahidol facility will serve as a centre for learning, research, and development in advanced power electronics technologies.
This expansion reinforces Delta Thailand’s efforts to develop a sustainable talent pipeline and support Thailand’s growing high-tech sectors. The Power Electronics Lab network now includes partnerships with several leading engineering institutions, enabling students across the country to gain valuable industry exposure and build the competencies needed for future innovation.
The MOU further strengthens the long-term collaboration between Delta and Mahidol University. Through knowledge exchange, co-creation of education initiatives, and combined expertise, both organisations aim to equip Thai youth to become key contributors to technological advancement and sustainable development.
These academic partnerships are a long-term investment in society, reflecting our dedication to closing the skills gap and building a future-ready workforce for Thailand.
