Bangkok, December 2, 2021 – Delta Thailand was invited as an industry leader speaker at the Bangkok Post International Forum 2021 held at Centara Grand at Central World Bangkok. Since COVID-19, we have conducted events online and are only now beginning to attend small-scale event with the easing of restrictions on gatherings by the government of Thailand.
Delta joined Thai and international government, financial and industry leaders at this prestigious event hosted by Thailand’s top English language newspaper to discuss key future business and development trends.
The hybrid event titled-Unleashing the Future: A Glimpse into 2022 and Beyond, featured keynote addresses from key government leaders from Thailand and Japan who joined via video or in-person to share on the national economy, key lessons in urban administration during the pandemic and the path to a sustainable livable cities of the future.
Mr. Jackie Chang, Delta Thailand President, joined Mr. Isao Sekiguchi, Nissan Motor Thailand President, in a special panel discussion to discuss lessons learned from the pandemic, digital transformation in manufacturing and sustainable development in the changing post-pandemic industry landscape.
Mr. Jackie Chang said, “The pandemic and climate change are making us rethink our role in creating a sustainable future. Delta has leveraged innovation and digital transformation to protect our people, work with our stakeholders and help our communities. Delta sees sustainable development as the way forward and commits to our RE100 goal to reach 100% renewable electricity consumption by 2030.”
Other famous speakers included Mr. Tony Fernandes, Chief Executive Officer, AirAsia Group, who shared how the region's aviation industry is transforming and the popular Mr. Jirayut Srupsrisopa, Bitkub Founder & CEO, who discussed the future of finance powered by decentralized blockchain technology.
