Samutprakarn, Thailand, July 3, 2020- While COVID-19 was a challenging time for all of us, it was also a great time to come together and find new ways to be part of the solution in our Delta family and our communities.
With the situation easing, Delta’s new president Jackie Chang is getting more chances to meet, with social distancing, Deltans at every level. To encourage more informal offline conversations, DET Employee Relations and HRD held the first-ever Coffee Talk With Our President event at the lobby of the DET headquarters.
Around 20 of our dedicated Delta Volunteers were invited to this intimate two-hour event. Everyone enjoyed taking a break from work to meet friends, enjoy beverages and refreshments and get a chance to ask Jackie anything about the company, their work, activities and life.
Many of our Delta volunteers are women who balance their work with volunteer activities and home duties. Jackie thanked them for their dedication and asked them questions about Thai food and language. Our volunteers asked Jackie about what he thought about Thailand, his ideas for Delta’s CSR strategy and practical questions about their volunteer activity and daily work.
By the time our chat was over, everyone was excited to continue our conversations online with our new DET LINE account and offline at upcoming events. Each Delta Volunteer also got a small token of appreciation for Delta for their hard work and care.
