Superheroes and Superstars at Delta Thailand’s 2024 New Year Party

On December 15, 2023, Delta Thailand held our annual year-end bash at our Delta Plant 5 Head Office at Bangpoo Industrial Estate and Delta Plant 6 and Plant 7 at Wellgrow Industrial Estate. The Delta Thailand New Year Party is the most anticipated event of the year for everyone in the company. This year’s event certainly did not disappoint with a fun superhero costume theme, live entertainment with Thai superstars and hosted by our own Delta MCs and singers.

Thanks to the dedication of all our teams, Delta Thailand had another record year of growth in 2023 and we now look forward to a new factory and new automotive division to turbocharge growth in 2024. After a long year of challenges and successes, it was time for 20,000 people at our Delta factories to unwind and let their hair down and enjoy time together.

This year we brought back the popular employee activities with a singing contest and an MC contest in the months leading up to the party. All employees were invited to compete for the chance to win prizes and be MC hosts or singers at the New Year Party.

The theme chosen for this year’s event was “Heroes Among Us” and everyone was challenged to come dressed up as superheroes with prizes offered to employees with the best costumes. As usual, the activities started from the morning with a traditional Thai merit-making ceremony open to all. Everyone is welcome to make offerings to monks and join a prayer ceremony to wish for health and prosperity for the coming year.

At 4:00 the announcement went out and everyone came out to join the New Year Party. This year we had carnival games and bright festive lights leading to dining tables and a huge stage and concert area. Many folks got a special surprise when Delta Thailand President, Jackie Chang, showed up dressed as Batman to take pictures and chat.

During a dinner of local delicacies, Delta Thailand managers took to the stage dressed as the Avengers Team to wish everyone a Happy New Year and managers presented prizes to winners of our luck draw. This was followed by our Delta MCs and singing contest winners showcasing their presenting and singing skills on a massive stage for thousands of Delta people.

This year Delta Plant 6 and Plant 7 enjoyed a show featuring top Thai folk singer Yuki Penpaka while Delta Plant 5 invited Thai country music phenomenon Kong Huairai. The performances tapped into the raw energy and passion of Thailand’s northeast region in a nonstop medley of country music hits.

To safeguard everyone’s health and safety, we had security onsite and held an anti-stampede and anti-drunk driving awareness campaign before the events.
