At Delta, we cherish making unforgettable memories, both in the skies and on the ground. This past weekend, a group of us from the team took the chance to unwind and embark on a joyful escapade to Dreamworld Thailand. Spoiler alert: it was a weekend packed with thrills, spills, and nonstop laughter!
A Quick Introduction to Dreamworld Thailand
Dreamworld Thailand, situated just outside Bangkok in Thanyaburi (KM.7), is a must-visit destination for thrill-seekers, families, and anyone in search of fun and excitement. Since its grand opening in 1993, the park has delighted visitors with a perfect blend of adrenaline-pumping roller coasters, tranquil cable car rides, and enchanting themed zones. Whether you’re looking for high-energy thrills or a relaxing day out, Dreamworld has something to suit every preference.
Conveniently located about a 50-minute drive from central Bangkok, the park welcomes visitors daily with the following hours:
Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
A Special Promotion Made It Even Better!
We were thrilled to catch the park’s current promotion—buy one ticket, and the second is 50% off! With this deal, the fun doubled without doubling the cost. Want to grab this opportunity? Head to their Facebook page for more details.
Kicking Off the Adventure
We began our day with a tranquil cable car ride to the far end of the park. Floating above the colorful landscape, we soaked in the breathtaking views of Dreamworld’s sprawling attractions. It wasn’t all calm, though—I was clutching the railing and muttering, “This is a bit too high for comfort!” But with a little encouragement (and some teasing), I started to enjoy the breeze and the scenery.
Thrills, Screams, and Unforgettable Moments
Our adrenaline rush kicked off with the Sky Coaster, where we soared through the air like superheroes. The lack of a long queue meant we could jump right in—no time to back out! Halfway through the ride, someone in our group yelled, “Wait, why did I agree to this?!” But by the end, we were all grinning from ear to ear.
Next, we took on the Raptor, a spinning, bouncing whirlwind that left us laughing uncontrollably. At one point, everyone kept moving from the seat, which made the rest of us hold on to ours for dear life while still trying to wave our hands in the air. The lively music playing during the ride was so infectious that even our screams had a rhythm!
Our colleague’s son, lovingly dubbed “our little prince” for the day, had his share of fun too. Our little prince enjoyed the Water Fun the most; seeing him giggle as he went down the water slide was a highlight for all of us. Of course, we couldn’t resist joining in—it turns out adults can have just as much fun! And for children’s ride, we couldn’t get enough of the Thunder Bird, Crazy Bus, and Water Fun attractions.
The surprise hit of the day was the Speedy Mouse, a mini coaster designed for families. Thinking it would be an easy ride, we relaxed—only to find ourselves screaming and laughing as it twisted and turned faster than expected. “This is supposed to be for kids!” I exclaimed, but by the end, most of us voted it as our favorite ride.
For those of us seeking bigger thrills, the Tornado and Hurricane rides delivered in spades. The Tornado’s wild swings had us clutching our seats, while the Hurricane spun us in dizzying circles. After the Hurricane, I stumbled off saying, “Where’s that pickled fruit stand? I need to recover!”
Splashing into Fun
Water rides are a must at Dreamworld, and we dove in headfirst! The Grand Canyon raft ride was an exciting, splash-filled adventure that left everyone soaked but smiling. The Splash Ride was another crowd-pleaser; even though we tackled it wearing raincoats, getting drenched only made it more enjoyable. (Pro tip: If you’d rather stay dry, raincoats are available for purchase!)
Winter Magic in Snow Town
Snow Town was the coolest—literally—part of our day. Sliding down the icy slopes brought out our inner kids, and we lost count of how many times we raced down! The festive decorations gave us all a dose of holiday cheer, making it feel like Christmas had come early.
Eats, Treats, and Convenient Shopping
When it came to food, Dreamworld didn’t disappoint. The snacks and meals were reasonably priced, and most stalls accepted QR payments for easy transactions. A few shops still preferred cash, but with ATMs on-site, it wasn’t a problem.
Lights, Camera, Action!
Before calling it a day, we sat down to enjoy an electrifying Hollywood-themed show. It was the perfect way to rest our feet while keeping the energy alive. The mix of stunts, music, and theatrics left us in awe.
Why Dreamworld Should Be Your Next Destination
From exhilarating rides to family-friendly attractions and the magical charm of Snow Town, Dreamworld has something for everyone. Our weekend there was unforgettable, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and moments we’ll be talking about for weeks to come.
