At the beginning of March, we celebrated both World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development and International Women's Day by highlighting the outstanding work of our engineers and women who work day in, day out to fulfill Delta’s mission to provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow.
Delta’s engineering excellence is a key driver of our growth and global competitiveness. Our world-class R&D teams in Europe, India and Thailand are constantly pushing the boundaries of product power efficiency. At our manufacturing plants, engineers in automation, process, QA/QC and facility roles strive daily for the best quality and continuous improvement in our operations. Our FAE and engineering sales are onsite with our customers to implement the best solution to satisfy their requirements and fulfill the role of brand ambassadors for Delta.
That’s why World Engineering Day is the perfect opportunity to highlight the work of all our engineers who create green products, solutions and even factories. Our engineers are curious and passionate about discovering solutions and better ways to do things. Your unquenched passion for excellence satisfies our customers and brings us one step closer to our RE100 goal to have 100% renewable energy in our operations by 2030.
We are also proud of the huge role Delta women play in our sustainable growth. Across the region, millions of women in the light manufacturing sector are participating economically and rising up socially. Our Delta factories are seen as safe and equal opportunity workplaces for thousands of women in Thailand and India. As a result, women make up over 90% of our Thailand production workforce, 70% of our supply chain management staff and 64% of our people in Sales, FAE, CRM and service engineering. Women overwhelmingly choose Delta!
Our people are at the heart of everything we do at Delta and the reason we continue to provide smart and green solutions for our world. We hope the many stories on our 360 platform bring you closer to Delta engineers, women and each individual behind the electronics we use and enjoy each day.
