Enjoying the Thrill of Skydiving in Thailand

Thailand has something for everyone, including adrenaline junkies. So if you’re tired of traditional massages and lying endlessly on the beach, maybe it’s time for a little sky high adventure.

When it comes to pushing the limits and trying new things, Johnny Tam, Delta Indonesia Country Manager, is just the right person to talk to. Here, he shares a video and his thoughts on his first tandem skydiving experience.

When and where did you do your first skydive?

I did my first tandem jump with Thai Sky Adventures which is a Thai-owned and British-run company offering tandem skydives from 13,000 feet.

You can enjoy breathtaking island views and even take skydiving training courses with them. I did my jump at Sriracha in Chonburi Province.

Why did you choose to try skydiving?

I was introduced to the idea and the school by my scuba diving instructor. It seemed like a real challenge and I wanted to try something new for kicks.

What was your feeling up there in the sky?

It was so fun and exciting! The feeling of speed during free fall was amazing. This was my first time trying parachuting and I enjoyed the beautiful bird’s eye view of the coast coming down.

Would you like to do it again and do you recommend it to other Delta people?

Yes, will skydive again! Do I recommend it to other Delta folks?!! Well, it all depends on your personal expectations:).
