Wat Huay Pla Kang is located in Rim Kok Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Rai and is a famous tourist attraction of the North Thailand province. Wat Huai Pla Kang is a distinctive white temple with beautiful architecture and outstanding views.

One interesting point on the grounds Pob Chok Dhamma Chedi, which is a large 12-square-foot structure with a height of 49 meters. It was built in honor of a famous monk in Thailand. The building is a beautiful and rare architecture that is triangular in shape with 9 floors and 12 small pagodas around it. The design is according to the vision of the famous monk Phopchok who dreamed that there was once a pagoda like this one on the hill.

Another highlight is the large Bodhisattva Guanyin statue or Goddess of Mercy. It has a height of 79 meters, equivalent to a 26-storey building, and is said to be the largest in Thailand.

In addition, inside the Goddess of Mercy statue, there are many sculptures for us to admire and worship. The overall interior of the temple is clean and serene. It has been well maintained. Anyone who goes during the less crowded times is considered very lucky. Because we will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery with peace of mind.

The sculptures inside the Guanyin are beautiful and delicate. The carvings are very detailed and elaborate. The real items are beautiful, eye-catching and attractive.

On the top floor, there is an area where we can view the city from the window. Or what they call "Dragon Gate", we can see the landscape as far as the eye can see. If you come in winter, the weather will be very good, cool, and comfortable making it a suitable place to relax and come to pray for good luck and good fortune. At this temple, we believed that if anyone comes to ask for blessings for good health, finances, and work they will get their wishes granted.          Anyone looking for a place to travel in the north of Thailand can include Wat Huai Pla Kang as another impressive spot to stop by. If you would like to make a wish you can come to worship to start the New Year or just a new day for greater prosperity in life.
