DET VOICE #28 The Heart of Delta Stories of Mothers Who Lead with Quiet Strength
By DET Corp Comms - Published August 29, 2025
On the production lines, in quiet offices, and back at home, Delta Thailand is filled with mothers who carry both the weight of responsibility and the warmth of care. This Mother’s Day, we interviewed four women whose stories reflect the strength, compassion, and dedication that shape our workplace every day.
Malijan Sansiripun
ETM Injection | 20 Years at Delta
For Malijan, motherhood became real in a way she didn’t expect. It wasn’t during the early years of raising her child, but later, when her teenager came to her for advice about love. “That moment made me feel truly seen as a mother,” she says. “They trusted me enough to ask something so personal.”
Although her workdays can be long and exhausting, Malijan never ends the day without a phone call home. “I always check in. I ask about school, homework, and friends. It’s something I’ve done every day, no matter how tired I am.”
Her approach to work has shifted too. “I used to be more impatient. Becoming a mother helped me become calmer and more understanding. I can now work easily with people from different generations, and I sometimes apply what I learn from my coworkers when I talk to my child.”
Malijan is known by many at Delta for her steady presence, but what others might not see is her quiet mentorship. “I often support coworkers with advice, even from outside my department. I don’t look for recognition. I do it because it helps us all grow.”
Outside of work, she’s the head chef at home, always experimenting with new recipes for her family. Her child, in return, sees her as someone gentle and supportive. “They probably see me as an angel. I guide them with care and always support their goals.”
For her, Mother’s Day is a special opportunity to reconnect. “It gives us time to share something meaningful as a family. It brings us closer in a way everyday life sometimes doesn’t allow.”
Pimpaporn Sriprommasa
Wellgrow Section | 21 Years at Delta
Pimpaporn remembers the day her child came to her about a conflict between friends. They wanted help finding a way to bring peace to the group. “It may seem small,” she says, “but for me, it showed how much they trusted me. That’s when I felt fully present as a mother.”
Her routine is demanding. Long hours at work are followed by responsibilities at home, cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, and giving emotional support. “It’s tiring, but I find strength in being there for my family. Even when I don’t think I have anything left, I keep going.”
That dedication has shaped the way she supports her team at work. “Some of my coworkers are the same age as my child. I train them, support them, and try to guide them with patience. It feels natural.”
Her daily contributions at work often go unnoticed, but they make a big difference. “I plan work processes and help colleagues overcome obstacles. It matters to me that we work smoothly together, even if no one points it out.”
At home, she focuses on responsibility and discipline. “I want my child to understand what it means to follow through, to keep their word, and to do their best.”
What others might not realize is how much guidance she gives her child beyond school. “I teach them how to handle life, things that aren’t in textbooks.” And when her child looks at her? “They see someone who solves problems. Someone they can count on.”
Every year, Mother’s Day brings a surprise gift or gesture from her child. “It’s something I always look forward to. It reminds me that our connection is strong.”
Klayduen Bhungthong
BQA MSBU | 15 Years at Delta
Klayduen’s story began with unexpected hardship. Her youngest son was born without a left ear, a condition that led to postpartum depression. “It was painful. I never thought something like that would happen, and I didn’t know how to cope at first.”
Support from her family helped her begin to heal. Her mother stepped in to care for her son, and no one treated him any differently. “That taught me to look beyond appearances and to focus on character, effort, and kindness.”
These experiences have shaped how she approaches her work. “I used to be more direct, but becoming a mother helped me develop empathy. I try to understand people before reacting. Everyone is dealing with something.”
One way she manages stress is by calling her children during breaks. “A quick video call to see their faces is often all I need to keep going.”
Her sons see her as playful and comforting. “They have fun nicknames for me. We dance; we laugh. I try to be someone they feel safe with.”
While she’s seen as a steady team member at Delta, most don’t know that she’s raising two boys on her own without outside financial help. “I’ve done it on my own quietly, and with pride.”
To her, Mother’s Day is simple. “It’s a day to be with my children. That’s all I ever want.”
Boontharika Phinitmontree
PC, Delta 3 | 6 Months at Delta
For Boontharika, the moment she held her newborn was the moment her life changed. “Everything shifted. I knew that my days, my energy, my choices would now be for him.”
Though she’s new to Delta, Boontharika has already approached her responsibilities with care and determination. One of her proudest memories from early motherhood was committing to breastfeeding while working full-time. “It was exhausting, but I was determined to give my baby the best start,” she says. That effort remains a meaningful part of her journey proof of her dedication during a time of great adjustment.
Her days don’t end when her shift does. Each night, she prepares her child’s school bag, checks teacher notes, and makes sure everything is ready for the next morning. “It may not seem like much, but it means a lot to me. It’s a small way of showing love.”
This level of consistency has carried into her work as well. “Motherhood taught me to be patient. I’m learning how to stay calm, even when things are unpredictable.”
Her child sees her as a provider and protector. “They come to me with problems, and they know I’ll always try to help. That gives me strength.”
Many at Delta might not realize how deeply she invests in her home life. “I give my all to my family, every day. It’s part of who I am.”
To her, Mother’s Day is a reminder of something she feels year-round. “Every day, I try to live in a way that honors the love I have for my child.”
