Pattaya, Thailand, March 23, 2023 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. held the 2023 Delta Electric Vehicle (EV) Partners Summit at the Grande Centre Point Space, Pattaya. Over 300 senior managers from more than 100 global automotive electronics companies joined the summit which aimed to share the latest developments in the company’s EV businesses, celebrate growth and share the future product roadmap to all.
Due to the rapid growth of EVs in the past three years, Delta has experienced material shortages caused by pandemic-related issues, the sudden ramp-up in demand and shortages in semiconductors. Despite the challenges, Delta achieved outstanding growth due to the dedication and strong support of suppliers. Delta resumed its in-person EV partner summit to show appreciation to key suppliers who have supported the company despite recent challenges and have driven continuous capacity expansion to support future business development maintaining the right price and the right quality.
Mr. Simon Chang, President and COO of Delta Group, gave a video address to thank the partners and gave an overview of Delta’s growth from a components manufacturer to a top OEM solutions provider and leader in the EV parts supply sector. Since entering the EV business in 2017, Delta has rapidly grown its business revenue and penetrated the market to be a Tier-1 supplier to many of the top global EV manufacturers. In addition, Mr. Chanin Khaochan, Thailand Board of Investment Deputy Secretary General, was invited as a special guest to give a speech on the country’s incentives regarding the setting up local EV parts-related manufacturing. Speaking at the event, Mr. James Tang, Delta EVSBG VP and GM, shared a slogan for this year’s summit, “Delta urges all our partners to participate in pursuing the unprecedented EV era together!”
Mr. Jackie Chang, President of Delta Thailand, welcomed the EV Partners to the summit and said, “This year, our summit theme is-Powering the Next-as we celebrate our success in the past year and prepare for unprecedented growth ahead. So, let's all grab this opportunity with both hands and boldly make the decisions today that will lead to success for many years to come.”Delta’s EVSBG management shared updates on the company’s overall EV market, focusing on the company’s new product roadmap for high-growth markets. Delta also shared the company’s future vision in EV powertrain and power-electronics integration trends for alignment with partners.
Delta management from sustainable development, procurement, materials and production also gave presentations to update suppliers on the current status and future developments of their respective areas. After the presentations, Delta held an open Q&A session and discussion for all partners.
