Bangkok, Thailand, January 11, 2024-Delta Thailand joined a press conference featuring government and electronics industry leaders and suppliers to announce support and find solutions for development in Thailand’s Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) sector.
The Thailand Electronics Circuit 2024 Exhibition press conference event was hosted by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) and organized by the Thailand Printed Circuit Association (THPCA) together with the Hong Kong Printed Circuit Association (HKPCA).
Mr. Jackie Chang, Delta Thailand President, said, “Delta supports the development of Thailand’s electronics manufacturing industry which is supported by a robust Thai PCB/PCBA sector. We expect high growth in EV and AI-related products, and we see that PCB/ PCBA design for power supplies will focus on R&D and manufacturing excellence for modular design, high power density, low profile and high flexibility for automation and customization. In Thailand, we are focusing our localization of suppliers of up to 8 layer PCBs and then up to 16 layers.”
At the event, the BOI pledged more support for local electronic circuit suppliers to boost their capability to enter the global electronic circuit production ecosystem. The BOI said 106 projects with a total investment value of 150.56 billion baht have sought investment promotion in PCB and PCBA production from 2018 to 2023. According to THPCA, Thailand’s electronic circuit board industry is valued at more than 1.4 billion USD and is expected to reach 8 billion USD by 2025.
