Bangkok, Thailand, October 31, 2023–Delta Thailand welcomed H.E. Mr. Rachmat Budiman, Ambassador of Indonesia to Thailand to learn more about Delta Thailand’s business operations in Indonesia and Thailand. The visit aimed to strengthen ties and discuss opportunities to support sustainable development in the Southeast Asia region.
Mr. Jackie Chang, Delta Thailand President, welcomed the distinguished ambassador and guests from the Indonesia Embassy and introduced Delta’s sustainable operations that include manufacturing plants in Thailand, India and Slovakia that create job opportunities and have a positive social impact on local communities.
In addition, Mr. Johnny Tam, Delta Indonesia Country Manager, presented the latest business developments of Delta in Indonesia including market leadership in the EV charging sector, major data center and building automation projects. Both parties also discussed potential talent development collaboration between Delta and universities in Indonesia.
In a sharing session, Mr. Chang presented two successful Delta CSR projects for talent development for reference and discussion:
• Delta Angel Fund: Since 2016, Delta has collaborated with Thailand’s Ministry of Industry to support local startup talent in Thailand with funding and training to develop Thailand’s innovation ecosystem. By 2023, Delta has provided over 28 million baht of funding to almost 200 top winning teams to support the commercialization of smart industrial and energy-related products in the Thai market.
• Delta Automation Academy: Delta collaborates with seven top Thai universities to set up the Delta Automation Academy which offers the latest industrial automation equipment and training to Thai engineering students. Finally, Mr. Chang introduced Delta’s products and solutions for Thailand and Southeast Asian markets at the company showroom and hosted a Q&A session for the honored guests. Both parties discussed collaboration opportunities for sustainable development that benefit communities in Indonesia and Thailand.
