Delta Discusses Sustainable Development for the Manufacturing Sector at the Thailand Challenge Summit

Bangkok, Thailand, September 20, 2023- Delta Thailand represented Thailand’s manufacturing sector at a special seminar titled Thailand Challenge hosted by Thansettakij Multimedia under The Nation Group.

The seminar featured speakers from the Thai government and key industries in the economy including hospitality, agriculture, tech and manufacturing with the aim to facilitate an exchange of business perspectives on the impact of the various challenging environments in Thailand and opportunities for future growth.

Mr. Surapong Piyachot, Deputy Transport Minister, was the keynote speaker with a special address called-Thailand Challenge: Exploring Thailand's Potential Amidst Global Challenges. Mr. KK Chong, Delta Thailand Head of Sustainable Development, highlighted key challenges for Thailand’s manufacturing sector and Delta’s actions to ensure sustainable development.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic from 2019 to 2022, Delta’s risk management and sustainable growth strategy enabled Delta to achieve remarkable growth resulting in $3.3 billion in revenue in 2022.

Additionally, Delta has received numerous recognitions for sustainability including the Thailand Energy Awards, Prime Minister’s Industry Awards and CDP Supplier Engagement Leader A Grade. This demonstrates Delta’s effective execution of the company’s sustainable development strategy with commitment to continuous development in people, R&D and energy efficiency innovation in response to global megatrends.
