By Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. - Published March 20, 2022

On March 4 we celebrate World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED) by the contribution of engineers in creating a more efficient and sustainable world.

This year at Delta Thailand, we put the spotlight on our Delta Facility Engineers who work every day to optimize our green factory systems to save energy and our planet.

Their hard work and commitment to excellence in each of their daily tasks has led us to get two LEED Gold certified factories, years of Thailand Energy Awards and made Delta a model RE100 era sustainability leader in Thailand.

Let’s hear them talk about their work.

1. Mr. Charin Raso, Delta Facility Engineer
Hello. I am responsible for the SCADA system. What is SCADA? It’s a monitoring system that includes equipment control for things such as HVAC, Air Compressor, Chiller, Pump, Cooling Tower and it’s able to check Power Meter kW power as well. Each month we can save 5% of our electricity bill with SCADA.

2. Mr. Puthiphong Sae-siao, Delta Facility Engineer
I am in charge of the HVAC system. HVAC is a large air conditioning system. Which is commonly used in industrial factories, department stores, and head offices. The components of the HVAC consist of 1. Chiller for cooling water; 2. AHU for supplying cold air to the factory; 3. Cooling Tower for cooling the Chiller; 4. Water pump to deliver water to AHU and draw water from the AHU back to Chiller.

For all these machines we have a professional maintenance team. In order not to damage the machine and allow it to be used normally. The key is to support efficient energy consumption for the factory.
