On November 6, 2021, at 8:00 AM the event titled, “Accelerating the Switch to EV Charging Eco Run”, was launched simultaneously in various locations in the Philippines. Delta Electronics captured the hearts of all who participated in this event spearheaded by the Electric Vehicle Owners Society (EVOS) and Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP).
The course consisted of two loops, North and South, with three locations for each loop that the participants have to drop by with their EVs and for a photo opportunity. Out of the 6 locations, 4 have our Delta EV charging products namely the AC Mini Plus located at Jaguar Land Rover- EDSA and Unioil -Congressional Ave Extension, DC Wallbox at Nisan Otis, Manila and the DC City Charger at Nissan Mantrade Makati.

Big names from the national transportation sector and the media was there such as Mark Richmund De Leon, VP of the Metro Pacific Tollway Corporation was impressed with our DC City 50kW charger and would seem fit on their plans of expanding business outside the toll road industry.
MPTC, is the country’s largest toll road operator and is expanding its business, with the new created business unit called MPT Mobility Inc. that will generate new revenue streams and boost customer experience. The EV Charging Solution of Delta with seamless digital transformation is one major focus that they are looking onto and a factor for forming a strategic partnership.
Beside Mr. De Leon, is Mr. Lestor Dizon from Power Wheels Magazine, a motoring media who covered the whole event.

Another important personality graced the event, is the Department of Energy - Energy Utilization Management Bureau Director Patrick T. Aquino. Mr. Aquino commented on Delta Electronics’ efforts to aggressively advance the e-mobility infrastructure in the Philippines to private sectors and creating rapid mindshare to public.
He told Genalyn Llorando, our Delta Philippines-Country Sales Manager, that he is grateful that Delta has been actively participating to all the government efforts in raising awareness on the electric vehicle. He also shared his intentions to gather stakeholders across the EV value chains and form a strategic alliance. Finally, he added that the government will continue to create a conducive environment to help the EV sector flourish, through policies that would further promote research and development, as well as encourage increased EV utilization across sectors and industries.
All participants gathered at Autohub BGC for the awarding ceremony at the end of the Eco Run. Mr, Peter Tom Tolibas, the Senior Manager for Corporate Communications of Nissan Philippines Inc bagged the overall champion in their Nissan Leaf along with Mr. Daximilan Avenido, his General Manager, Nissan Philippines- Corporate Communications. The affair was ended with the short discussions along the sides with sumptuous snacks courtesy of EVAP. Other team who had joined are Meralco Esakay, BYD Group, Coventry Motors, Unioil Phils Petroleum Inc, E-Lifestyle Manila and Autohub Tech Institution.
