Delta’s journey began almost 50 years ago when Taiwan's economy witnessed rapid growth. The increased power consumption led to frequent blackouts. As a company formed in these times, Delta has always believed that improving energy efficiency and conservation can help resolve the issue of insufficient power in a relatively faster and more efficient way than just simply building new power plants.
Back then, linear power supplies only offered efficiency way below 50%. Riding on the heel of this realization, Delta decided to invest in developing more energy-efficient switching power supply technology. Thus, we began our new business journey with the mission "To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow."
Through strong R&D capabilities, Delta fostered its core competence in high-efficiency power electronics to relentlessly increase the energy conversion efficiency of its products, some of which have achieved industry-leading levels.
For example, Delta’s server power supplies were the world’s first to achieve 80 PLUS TITANIUM certification with efficiency over 96% while our telecom rectifiers and solar PV inverters boast up to 98% and 99.2% efficiency respectively. Moreover, between 2010 and 2020, Delta's high-efficiency products are estimated to have saved customers 33.5 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity, equivalent to reducing 17.80 million metric tons of CO2 emissions.
In recent years, the manufacturing industry has undergone many disruptive changes due to the rapid advancement of science and technology. The advancements, in particular, had a tremendous impact on traditional manufacturing approaches and business concepts. In line with these changing times, Delta also began offering smart manufacturing solutions capable of upgrading traditional production lines into truly smart production lines offering higher productivity and energy efficiency.
In 2021, Delta's 50th anniversary, the Company reached global revenues of USD11.275 billion. To commemorate our 50 years of success and contribution to sustainable development, we adopted the vision "Influencing 50, Embracing 50". Building on the solid foundation developed over 50 years, we will continue to innovate with our products and services and join hands with our partners in all sectors to stride towards the next 50 years together.

Delta has gone even further and has also committed to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Delta is also a corporate leader in electric transport by joining EV100 alongside the world's leading companies.

Even in wastewater management and water efficiency, our facilities are some of the foremost in the nation.
Corporate Social Responsibility in India
The COVID-19 pandemic has been a very challenging period for India. An important lesson this pandemic has taught us is that all stakeholders need to come together to fight the inequities in our society to overcome this pandemic. As part of our commitment to the nation, Delta's CSR interventions during these times aimed to aid the most vulnerable sections and communities.
We, at Delta Electronics India, have supported the nation's fight against COVID-19 through our donation of oxygen concentrators to authorities in Tamil Nadu. Delta also donated five ICU beds to Uttarakhand Government as our small contribution to facilitate the treatment of patients in the state.
The Road Ahead
India is set to experience the largest increase in energy demand of any country worldwide over the next 20 years as its economy develops and brings greater prosperity to its citizens. More than any other major economy, India's energy future depends on buildings and factories that are yet to be built and vehicles and appliances that are yet to be bought. This represents a huge opening for policies to steer India onto a more secure and sustainable course. We at Delta are committed to contribute to India’s journey for a sustainable and greener tomorrow.
