Sarawak, Malaysia, October 2021-Eltek Malaysia successfully implemented our first solar hybrid power system for Sacofa in June 2021.
Sacofa, a leading telecommunication infrastructure provider, aiming to provide speedy and cost-effective services throughout Sarawak, one of the largest states in Malaysia.
Eltek Malaysia has built a years-long business relationship with Sacofa, truly understanding our customer’s requirements.
We learned that the problems faced by the customer are high operating expenses to maintain sites with current dual generators, and difficulties in attending to sites, which are usually located in remote areas with access via logging road and boat.
We also learned that the customer’s expectation from Eltek is to provide solutions that reduce operating expenses and minimize dependency on generators running 24/7.
Sacofa approached us for its new site deployment, project revenue US$ 105K. Eltek Malaysia team arranged a site survey, evaluated various difficulties and possibilities and we finally proposed our Solar Hybrid Power Solution.
Eltek’s solution includes a solar power core, MultiSite Monitor (MSM) system, solar PV panel, generator, lithium-ion battery and outdoor cabinet. The customer is very satisfied with our proposal and entrusted us to build a solar hybrid power solution to reduce OPEX from diesel refueling cost and generator maintenance.
In addition to the supply and installation services of the solar hybrid power system, Eltek Malaysia will be maintaining the site as well.
Sacofa is expanding their telecommunication network in Sarawak in East Malaysia, we will continue to support them in deploying off-grid solar hybrid power systems with our extensive experiences and installed base in Malaysia.
