Delta Thailand Joins DJSI 2023 for 3rd Year of ESG Recognition

Bangkok, Thailand, December 14, 2023 - Delta Thailand qualified as a constituent of the world-renowned Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) 2023 in the third year of recognition for excellent environmental, social & governance (ESG) performance. Delta Thailand remains the only Thailand company in the “ITC Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components” industry segment in the 2023 DJSI index and is in the DJSI World lists.

The S&P Global ESG Score measures a company's performance on and management of material ESG risks, opportunities, and impacts informed by a combination of company disclosures, media and stakeholder analysis, modeling approaches, and in-depth company engagement via the S&P Global CSA. This year, Delta Thailand received an S&P Global ESG Score of 76/100 with data availability and disclosure rate scored “Very High”. The company scored well over the industry mean in all three ESG aspects with an outstanding score of 92 out of the industry max score of 97 in the environment category.

S&P Dow Jones Indices, the world’s leading index provider, conducts the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which comprises a rigorous questionnaire assessing both public and non-public data submitted by participating companies. Out of over 7,800 companies assessed from 61 industries in the 2022 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), 712 companies were selected for the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2023 based on their ESG Scores.

Delta Thailand has solar rooftop systems with a total of 7.1 MWp capacity at four Thailand factories. Delta Thailand continuously evaluates climate risk, impact and opportunity and implements TCFD disclosure every year. The company earned the highest "A" grade as a "Supplier Engagement Leader" in the 2022 CDP Supplier Engagement Rating in recognition of action to measure and reduce climate risk within the company’s supply chain.

As a DJSI index member, Delta Thailand has a globally recognized ESG leadership role in Thailand and the region with recognition for sustainability activities including energy efficiency projects, local talent development and anti-corruption actions.
