Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. has been recognized for outstanding leadership in climate-focused supply chain management with its inclusion on the CDP 2024 Supplier Engagement “A” List for the second time. This distinction places Delta among the top 6% of reporting companies worldwide for supplier engagement on climate action.
The CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) evaluates corporate performance in engaging suppliers on emissions data, science-based targets, risk management, and decarbonization efforts. Delta’s strong performance reflects its commitment to transparency, good governance, and measurable climate progress across its global supply chain.
Driving Climate Action Across the Value Chain
Delta has committed to reducing Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 25% by 2030 and achieving a 90% absolute reduction by 2050, using 2021 as the base year. To achieve this, the company conducts off-site reviews and environmental audits with key suppliers, assessing emissions, energy consumption, and impacts on biodiversity.
As part of its material strategy, The company is advancing the circular economy by working with suppliers of metals and thermoplastics to increase the use of certified recycled inputs. Materials such as steel, aluminum, copper, PE, PC, PBT, and corrugated packaging are now increasingly sourced in compliance with Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) certifications.
Operational Progress on Emissions and Energy
In 2024, Delta expanded its renewable energy use across operations in Thailand, India, and Slovakia, with renewables accounting for approximately 54% of total electricity consumption. This transition supports the company’s low-carbon energy goals and contributes to its broader emissions reduction plan.
The company also recorded continued improvement in electricity intensity, maintaining momentum toward its 20% reduction target by 2025 (compared to 2020). In parallel, Delta remains on track to reduce direct emissions (Scope 1 & 2) by 90% by 2030, aligned with its long-term net-zero pathway.
