Delta and Thai Industry Giant SCG Chemicals Sign MOU to Collaborate in Smart Energy and Industrial Automation

Bangkok, Thailand, October 20, 2020 - Delta Thailand and SCG Chemicals signed an MOU for joint business collaboration in the development of innovative industrial solutions. Delta will support SCG Chemicals with our industrial automation solutions with integrated hardware and advanced analytical software.

DET hosted representatives from SCG Chemicals for the MOU signing ceremony at our head office in Bangpoo Industrial Estate. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Roongrote Rangsiyopash, SCG President and CEO, said, “I am delighted to witness the formalized and deepened collaboration between Delta Thailand and SCG Chemicals. With this collaboration, I believe they will significantly contribute to the advancement of industrial practices and I look forward to seeing future business partnerships together.”

Mr. Jackie Chang, Delta Thailand President, said, “We are excited to sign this milestone agreement with industry leader SCG Chemicals as the first step towards creating a more advanced industrial sector in Thailand and the region. This is only the beginning of greater cooperation to facilitate SCG Chemicals as we support their implementation of more energy-efficient and automated operations.”

Besides the MOU signing ceremony, the SCG Chemical delegation learned more about Delta’s smart manufacturing, energy infrastructure and power backup solutions at our DET factory tour and showroom.

SCG Chemicals is one of Thailand’s largest integrated petrochemical companies from upstream production of olefins to downstream petrochemical products. Delta welcomes collaboration with industry leaders like SCG Chemicals with a strong national and regional footprint.

This latest partnership is part of Delta’s commitment to the Thailand 4.0 smart manufacturing goals which aim to create a resilient industrial sector in the new normal.
