Bangkok, Thailand, January 21, 2020 – Delta Thailand and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), signed an MOU to include Delta’s electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions across Thailand in the MEA EV Mobile App for user ultimate convenience. This MOU cements our three-way partnership between the state utility operator and Nissan in Thailand that helps create an EV ecosystem in the country.

With the latest partnership, MEA EV Mobile App users can access Delta’s extensive network of EV charging stations in Thailand. We’ve already installed DC fast chargers and AC chargers for our automotive and utility partners at auto dealerships, industrial parks, institutional offices and educational centers. Users can now use the MEA EV Mobile App to find and book EV charging in real-time and control charging via remote system.

MEA EV Mobile App users can pay for their charging fees, see their charging history, calculate their energy-saving rate and enjoy many other useful functions that will become available soon. Delta will also link our public EV chargers and management solutions, installed to the MEA server standard or Open Charge Point Protocol standard (OCPP), to the MEA EV Mobile App.

The Thai government and the MEA play an important role in electrification by setting the standards and incentivizing ownership. Delta works with the government and our industry partners to create a comprehensive EV ecosystem that encourages Thai drivers to switch to greener transport and enjoy a seamless ownership experience in Thailand.
