Samutprakarn, Thailand, April 20, 2020-Delta Thailand got an “Excellent” score in the Thaipat Institute’s Corporate Health Check Report on COVID-19 for our outstanding response and preventative measures to protect employees and stakeholders.

The Thaipat Institute is a public-interest organization established in 1999 to promote corporate sustainability and socially responsible practices in Thailand’s business organizations. For the past five years, Delta Thailand has been in its prestigious ESG 100 list for Thailand’s best-performing public listed companies in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects.

Thaipat Institute’s Corporate Health Check Report on COVID-19 evaluated the COVID-19 measures Thai companies implemented that affect key stakeholders. Delta Thailand’s total average score in Thaipat Institute’s Corporate Health Check Report on COVID-19 is 4.42 out of 5 or 88.33%.

We received a 5/5 score for our measures to minimize the negative impact on employees, customers, regulators and shareholders. Meanwhile, we received a score of 4 and 2.5 for our measures for suppliers and communities, respectively.

Since January 30, Delta Thailand established a COVID-19 Task Force to ensure employee safety and control the epidemic while safeguarding critical operations. Delta Thailand has the following preventative actions at all its Thailand locations:

  1. Stopping all business travel and requiring all employees to report any travel to high-risk countries. Prohibiting any person arriving within 14 days from a high-risk country to company premises.
  2. Conducting multiple daily temperature scans and health control for every employee at company transportation, factory gates and work stations.
  3. Distributing new face masks to each employee at the start of each working day (over 10,000 masks every day!). Providing hand sanitizer stations and educational materials.
  4. Increasing disinfection and disinfectant fogging during non-working hours.

Despite a gradual relaxation of control measures in Thailand, everyone at Delta Thailand is staying vigilant and continuing COVID-19 prevention as the ”new norm” to ensure the safety of employees and Thai society.
