An Exclusive Interview with Delta Thailand Chairman on the Opening of Delta Plant 8 and R&D Center

By Delta Thailand - Published May 20, 2024

Sawatee Krub! Hello and a happy 35 Years to everyone at Delta Thailand!

My name is James Ng and I am Delta Thailand Chairman. Many of you long-timers may know me. For those who don’t, I joined Delta in 1990 and was the President and Chairman of Delta Thailand. From 2000 to 2003, I also served as President of Delta Electronics in Taiwan.

During my time leading Delta Thailand, we achieved many milestones including listing as a public company in Thailand. Meanwhile, we expanded our operations from one plant to six and grew significantly in revenue, assets, and employees.

Thanks to the dedication of our Thailand teams, we also established a local product design and development department here and successful completed the acquisition of the team of Ascom Energy Systems in Switzerland, strengthening Delta's position as a leader in the power supply sector.

Recently, I sat down to share my thoughts regarding the establishment of DET 8 and the R&D center in March. This milestone is part of my longstanding commitment to research and development, which I personally believe is essential for Delta's growth in Thailand. In addition, government policies and strong local supply chains in Thailand are key advantages over other Southeast Asian countries.

I hope this short video message will give you more insight into the management’s strategy and our future as we move forward together.

Finally, I want to thank you for your determination and teamwork to overcome challenges for over three decades as we satisfy our global customers.

Yours sincerely,

James Ng
Chairman, Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL.
