Delta Thailand President Message: Let’s Make 2022 a “Roaring” Year of the Tiger!

Dear DET Family,

新年快樂 Chúc Mừng Năm Mới Happy Chinese New Year and Vietnamese Tet 2022! I wish you all and your families a Safe and Prosperous Year of the Tiger. Did you know that according to the Chinese zodiac, the Tiger is a symbol of strength and courage? So I do hope we can all find the wisdom and willpower to make this year a “roaring” success!

Even now we are beginning to see some promising signs as countries around the world open up and people are uniting to find solutions for the pandemic. Although Omicron and other variants will always remain a risk, we are optimistic that our lives will get better.

At Delta we certainly want this to be the year where our enthusiasm and daring to challenge lead us to great victories. Our top priority now is to contain COVID-19 work with the government to restore security and prosperity to our families. And I am happy to say that Delta has successfully completed our full vaccinations and are now offering 3rd doses to all employees who want it in Thailand.

Like the tiger, we should also be brave to uphold the Delta Code of Conduct and do the right thing. You can speak out or report any issues or questions you may have about safety procedures or processes in the factory, after work employee activities or even anti-corruption and conflict of interest situations.

On a positive note, I am proud to announce that DET’s effort in sustainable development has garnered more recognition from global institutions. In 2022, DET remains in the MSCI Global Standard Indexes by Morgan Stanley Capital International and we have won the S&P Global Bronze Class Award as the only Thailand company in the “Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components” sector of the Sustainability Yearbook 2022.

Last month was a very eventful month for me as I was delighted to meet more Delta people and your families during our annual presentation of scholarships to all our Delta children. I also got the chance to meet many Thai startups at the 2022 Angel Fund launch with the DIP and our partners. These two events have reminded me of how much positive impact a large corporation like DET can create for not just our employees but also the country. It is an honor to support education and entrepreneurship because we believe in everyone should be given equal opportunities to grow. This is truly a gift from our hearts and with no conditions attached.

Finally, in March we celebrate World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development and International Women’s Day. Your engineering excellence, commitment to sustainable development and support of women empowerment is what make Delta Thailand a thriving organization and community. So in Chinese we say: 生龍活虎, which means wishing you the drive of a Dragon and the energy of a Tiger in 2022!
