Delta Thailand President Town Hall Message September 2020

Dear Delta Thailand Family,

Sawatdee Krap! I’m grateful to be able to meet all of you in person again more these days at activities like Coffee Chat and Safety and Energy Week. I want to thank you all for taking care of our health during the COVID-19 situation which makes it possible to have more in-person events.

Although Thailand is relatively safe now, I encourage everyone at Delta to continue to stay safe and wear masks. Let’s be careful to protect ourselves and our family, wash our hands and avoid crowded places until we are 100% sure it’s safe.

For those of you who have not yet joined our Coffee Chat activity, I want to let you know our management team is continuously looking at ways to improve the working conditions and environment in Delta. This includes improving the comfort and safety of our company buses. So I ask everyone to please be patient as we are taking corrective actions that are already in progress.

The first half of our 2020 business is doing well thanks to everyone’s hard work and discipline during the pandemic. Going into Q3, the management team will stay alert and agile to adapt to the challenging business environment.

And we have other plans for better leisure and rest areas and hobby clubs around our factories and offices. So you can look forward to more good news soon. Meanwhile, we would like to thank everyone for helping us make a cleaner and healthier Thailand by saving electricity and water and not using plastic bags. With your help, we are making good progress towards our goals to reduce energy use by 30% and water waste by 15%.

We’ve also opened a new Share@Delta room at the Delta 5 canteen where you can share any of your items that you don’t need but in good condition with your Delta teammates. This will help people who are in need and cut down on waste which is good for our environment.

We hope you can have fun at our activities and keep doing your part to make life more safe, healthy and happy at Delta.
