Building a Brand to Be Proud Of

This year is certainly the year for Delta in Thailand, India, Southeast Asia and Australia! After our trial by fire during the pandemic, we have emerged stronger than ever with growth of 20% to 30% over the past three years and over 20,000 employees in Thailand alone.

People at Delta are also getting together for more team sports and activities. At Delta Thailand, our Employee Relations department has organized exciting football and basketball competitions to motivate and entertain us. We also set up a new EV production department in Thailand to handle the expansion of the E-mobility business and support our Delta Group's addition of Mobility business to our existing businesses of: Power Electronics, Automation and Infrastructure.

Since launching in September, our all-new regional LinkedIn account Delta Electronics Southeast Asia & Oceania has exploded from 9,700 to over 17,000 followers with India, Singapore and Australia becoming top follower locations in addition to Thailand.

In this November issue, we highlight some health and next-gen leadership topics that are key to Delta evolving into a more sustainable organization that everyone can be proud of. In the Focus section, we talk to two customer-obsessed Delta Singapore field service technicians who thrill in the challenge of problem-solving onsite. We also look at how the EV charging infrastructure is evolving in Thailand, the regional EV leader, and how Delta is supporting this shift to e-mobility.

In the Up Close section, we introduce our next-gen Delta leader Tom Hew, Delta Australia and New Zealand Country Manager, who shares his fascinating career path, Australia’s unique role in the region and how we can create a more inclusive and innovative organization necessary for global brand growth.

In our latest edition of the DET Voices series, our Delta colleagues share their superfoods and health tips for a better life. In the On site section, we see how Delta Indonesia supported EV charging for the ASEAN Summit in Jakarta and two regional seminars held by IABG with distributor partners in Indonesia. In Thailand, see how Delta is sharing knowledge at an EV Talent industry seminar and the Thailand Challenge seminar. We also welcomed the Indonesia Ambassador to Thailand and the EEC Secretary-General to our head office to strengthen collaboration. In Singapore, the team completed another spectacular year at ITAP 2023 and the CISBG hosted regional customers at the Data Centre World Asia 2023 event.

In the Our Success section, we celebrate Delta Thailand’s being voted number one for the “Most Outstanding Company in Thailand – Technology Hardware & Equipment Sector” category in the 2023 Asiamoney Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll. We also bring you all the action of our first-ever Southeast Asia Delta Future Industry Summit with speakers from top companies like Microsoft, Grab, SP and Arun Plus and guests from across the region.

In our CSR section, we see how Delta Australia is pitching in a volunteer activity to keep the local community clean. We also look at the MOI-organized Industry Fair at Delta Thailand's head office that helps local SMEs and this year’s Delta Angel Fund for Startups which supports the local entrepreneur and startup scene. We also follow up on CHOICEISYOURS project that promotes local ESG education.

In the Fun section, we meet some Delta fitness fanatics who share why strength training and exercise are important for men and women of all ages and how we can start our fitness journey at any level. We also have some thrilling highlights of our Delta 3x3 Basketball Competition.

Finally, DET President Jackie Chang shares updates and gives advice on how we can win together as a Delta Team in this month’s Town hall section.
