Bangkok, Thailand, November 7, 2023–Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. welcomed Dr. Chula Sukmanob, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) to learn more about Delta Thailand’s solutions, business and manufacturing operations. The EEC delegation’s fact-finding mission aimed to explore Delta’s products, green solutions and how to accelerate implementation of Delta’s Industrial Automation and EV manufacturing capabilities in the EEC zone automotive cluster.
Mr. Jackie Chang, Delta Thailand President, welcomed the Secretary-General and guests from the EEC and introduced Delta’s sustainable operations that include manufacturing plants in Thailand, India and Slovakia that create job opportunities and have a positive social impact on local communities. Delta management and the EEC delegation discussed how to expand the scope of cooperation in line with the Thailand 4.0 EEC investment plan.
In addition, Mr. Yongyuth Pakdoungjan, Delta Senior Director of Government and Public Affairs, presented Delta’s latest business investments in Thailand and Delta managers introduced products and green solutions that support EEC industrial development including Industrial Automation, EV Onboard Chargers and Automotive Fans. Both sides also discussed further collaboration for Industry 4.0 development, Smart Electronics, Renewable Energy Solutions and Green Energy Solutions.
The delegation also toured Delta’s EV production line, where automotive parts are manufactured for top global car brands, and the company showroom to explore the products and solutions for Thailand and Southeast Asian markets. Both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation to develop the necessary local talent and technology to bring the EEC industrial zone to the next level in global manufacturing.
Delta has R&D and green manufacturing operations in the Wellgrow Industrial Estate that are recognized with Prime Minister Industry Awards for supporting the Smart Electronics and Next-Gen Automotive S-Curve industries in the EEC industrial zone. The company also set up a Delta Automation Lab at Burapha University in Chonburi Province and has signed MOUs with technical colleges to train local engineers and technicians to support the Thailand 4.0 development goals in the industrial cluster.
