Dear DET Family,
After over a year of COVID-19, we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and the start of the “New Normal” in Thailand, Australia and many other countries around the world. Despite the huge challenge to get vaccines in Thailand, I am happy to announce that the majority of our Delta Family in Thailand is now fully vaccinated.
A BIG thanks to all our DET Safety, ER, HR, GPA and Facility teams for supporting our Delta COVID-19 vaccine drive. We also thank you all for your cooperation to protect everyone at Delta and in Thailand. With more people in Thailand receiving vaccinations, the number of serious cases is falling and we are now joining other countries in reopening.
Since October 2021, we have begun adjusting our COVID-19 control measures according to the government’s regulations. We will announce further changes as the situation develops. Please stay tuned for announcements on our DETNET or Delta Thailand LINE account. In the meantime, we will continue with mask distribution, social distancing and testing at Delta.
Besides the pandemic, climate change is also presenting new challenges for us. We are leveraging our innovation to tackle this issue while continuing to ensure your safety and operations to satisfy our customers.
For example, we have implemented a new energy management solution at DET7 and our IA team is working with the government agency (IEAT) in Bangpoo to implement a flood warning system that will benefit everyone. Delta’s solutions and determination to mitigate the risks of climate change are guided by our company mission “to provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow.”
I’m also happy to announce that Delta won the Gold Award for Excellence in Total Rewards Strategy and Bronze Award for Excellence in Graduate Recruitment & Development at the inaugural HR Excellence Awards 2021 Thailand by Human Resources Online. We competed with top companies in Thailand and won the top award for our compensation and benefits that include:
Annual bonus: Consistently above the Thailand electronics industry average.
Employee and family medical expenses support for inpatient care, dental subsidy and annual health checkup.
Annual bursary and scholarships: Support for school tuition of employees’ children.
Meanwhile, as part of Delta’s continuous commitment to social contributions, we are working with SCGP to make eco-friendly furniture from our used carton boxes to donate to local schools and hospitals. We also signed a five-year MOU with King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) for joint promotion and development of education in IoT systems and information technology and engineering.
As the New Year holidays draw near, please be reminded to continue staying safe and positive. Stay tuned to our LINE and Delta 99 series to find out what’s going on at Delta. You can also share your ideas online or with our new touchscreen kiosk (DET Kiosk) at the canteens in DET1, DET3, DET5 and DET6. Let’s celebrate our shared victories in 2021 and look forward to an even greater year in 2022.
Yours sincerely,
Jackie Chang
